Three decades. Two generations. One table.

What began Upcountry has now found a new home down the mountain at South Maui Gardens in the heart of Kihei, and we brought our recipes, relationships, and love of good food that have been part of our family for decades.

Garden Market & Deli is a women-owned, family-run restaurant, led by a mother-and-daughter team who believe some of the best food is also the simplest: fresh ingredients, thoughtfully prepared, and made with care. Much of our produce still makes the same journey we did, coming directly from Upcountry Maui and inspiring the colorful salads, fresh sandwiches, tropical smoothies, and wholesome meals we serve every day.

There’s a little bit of our history in everything we make. Our food isn’t designed in a test kitchen or built around trends. It comes from years of cooking, feeding people, living on Maui, and understanding that when you start with beautiful ingredients, you don’t need to do too much to them.

We couldn’t imagine a better place for this next chapter than South Maui Gardens. Tucked among tropical plants, palms, garden paths, and shaded picnic tables, Garden Market & Deli feels like a little escape in the middle of Kihei.

Come for a fresh lunch. Meet a friend under the trees. Grab a smoothie and wander the gardens. Stay longer than you planned.
